A plan to impose a Federal Environmental surcharge ranging from as small as 1 Cent for single piece, single material, containers to $10 dollars for mixed material, non recycleable product packaging will generate more than $200 Billion in funds per annum to be used by the Government for environmental and other purposes.
These surcharges will be imposed on the manufacturers when they package their goods for sale or shipment, or by subsequent distributors who add packaging materials to the goods.
This plan, if enacted, will rapidly reduce the Federal Deficit and eliminate it within a few years.
