Company description:: A new website, nonpartisan and non-profit, though from its appearance apparently "conservative", has been launced to expand discussion about activist courts.
Gay marriage, the Pledge of Allegiance, the Ten Commandments, and the Boy Scouts, to name a few, have all fallen under the harsh gaze of robed high-priests willing to dictate social standards for everyone in the past year.
No matter which side one falls in the Judicial Activism vs. the Independence of the Judiciary debate, there are far too few serious websites adressing what is perhaps the biggest, but least talked about, issue of the age: to what level is the 3rd branch of government responsive and beholden to the people it rules over?
While CourtZero.org does appear to be primarily conservative, in that it is critical of activist courts, it does welcome all to its message board. The thing that is different about this website is that it talks about hot topics in the courts, under its "cases" page, in language that normal people, and not just lawyers, can understand. |
